Today we will be Reviewing Fallout 1
Story
The game is set over 100 years after nuclear war. The character you play was raised in one of the many underground vaults that were built to protect people from nuclear war. Your vaults water chip has broken and the overseer tells you that you have to go to the outside world to find a water chip. Once you leave the vault you discover the wasteland but not all life has perished since the war.
Game Play
When you start the game you get to create your own character. You then have five points to put into seven different characteristics, Strength, Perception, Endurance, Charisma, Intelligence, Agility, and Luck. Along with that you have eighteen different skills. Some of these skills are Small guns, Big guns, Steal, Locpick, and Unarmed just to name a few. You also get to choose two traits. The combat in the game is all turn based. While some people don't enjoy it I find it to be very fun.
There are a variety of many weapons in the game with shotguns, sledgehammers, and plasma rifles. You can play a guns Blazing character or a person who talks his way out of situations. There are many ways to play this game. If you do certain actions in the game you can see how they effect the world. Almost every npc in the game you can talk to unless there mutants trying to eat you. Most people in the world have things to say and sometimes useful tips. Also you can trade with anyone in the game very easily. This game has a currency and you use that money to buy things and sometimes bribe people. There is a karma system but it doesn't really matter unless you do things in a specific town. You can also get followers who help you in a fights and do other things. You have to drink water after a certain amount of days or you'll die. If you see something on the ground you can pick it up in your inventory system some these things include armors and scrap metal you can sell.

Sound
This games gun sounds do the job well along with the little pip boy sounds. The voice acting in this game is great all the people play the roles right but there are not a lot of voice actors in the game. But the ambient music is great some of the best i have heard in a video game. Mark Morgan did the music really well and it fits with the games atmosphere perfectly.
Graphics
You can tell that the developers put as much detail as they could in to a top down 2d video game from 1997. There are also 3d cut scenes that do there job well.
Verdict
This game is the best RPG I have ever played. While the turn based combat isn't for everyone I think it works perfectly. The musics is amazing fitting every environment your in there is not one track I didnt like. The best part is the story, it starts off slow but picks up to the point were you just want to keep playing until it end. But I dont want to spoil the whole thing for you so go and get this game if you like RPG's.
10/10
